Reading residents will be able to vote for who they want to stand on The Cultural Partnership Board during an election taking place over the next two months.

The Cultural Partnership is looking for two board members to represent the Reading community on key themes; health and heritage. There are currently six community representative seats on the Board, but two of the posts are currently vacant.



The Cultural Partnership celebrates the diversity of Reading , through involving, inspiring, engaging and achieving.

Individuals elected to the board will work with residents, businesses and charitable organisations to promote the themes and encourage communities to get involved and make a real difference.

Nominations can be received until February 29th.

Nominees must be willing to be nominated and nominees are also allowed to nominate themselves.

Nominations will not be accepted for Councillors or Council Officers as the Partnership board already has cross partnership representation. Representatives will be expected to serve a two year term and will be expected to adhere to a code of conduct issued at the first Cultural Partnership Board meeting.

In order to vote or be nominated in the community elections, residents will need to be aged over 16 and signed up as a member of The Cultural Partnership.
